Trauma Informed Yoga Teacher Training
200-Hour Yoga Alliance Trauma Informed Yoga Teacher Training
Our 12-day 200-Hour Yoga Alliance Trauma Informed Yoga Teacher Training Program has been designed to offer in-depth study and practice for yoga teachers, therapists, social workers, and others dedicated to alleviating the effects of trauma in their students.
Our program consists of a pre-training course curriculum of reading materials by leading thinkers in the fields of trauma healing and yoga/meditation, including Bessel Van der Kolk, Richard Davidson, and David Emerson as well as experiential work in residential care homes for abused and abandoned children and teens and a drop-in center for street-connected youth. Classes are held at Reach Within’s retreat center in rural Mirabeau, Grenada, where daily yoga practices take place outdoors overlooking an intimate cocoa and nutmeg farm. Skills are solidified by a 6 month web-based extension program with our lead instructors, Marije Paternotte and Neo Moreton.
